Picturing Time Project
![]() |
| This is another image I did but thought that by adding the world as the pendent at the bottom of the cuckoo clock was to much. But I still kept to the simple drawing as the previuse piece. |

Poster for London underground - Uni brief

.jpg)
so here is some research I have done for the project. these images are all posters used in the underground, as you can see they are all pretty simple. this is have found as people are moving fast in the underground so posters have to be eye catching and easy to take in on first glance. im planning to keep my work like these poster as if i have an over complicated idea it wont work as a poster. as the underground is a fast moving place so the posters have to be in your face, simple.
| this is one of my first posters I did, its very simple, ive used colour paper to cut out the images and have just used a felt pen to do the writing. I like it but Im not to sure about it. |
| one of the first, i dont like it as it looks like a small child has done it , might look better if i develop it. |

COLLECTION - stuff people keep for some reason or other. We where told as a project for college to collect something, anything. So I collected feathers, as I have grown up with pet birds and have always been attracted to feathers. the COLOURS, PATTERNS, the way birds use feathers to FLY.

At the start of the project I did not know what I was going to do so I some drawings of the feathers in promaker and biro.
These 3 pictures are Mary Fedden's work, which I find are quite odd but I like them as the are simple and well constructed.

These three images are sculptures which have been crafted out of feathers by Kate MccGwire. I love these pieces as she has contrasted the way feathers are seen as light and flying to heavy and flowing like water also solid and compact. I enjoy this work. And would like to start looking at making 3D things.
PRINTING FEATHERS - by inking up some feathers I have printed many images which I have to say have came out great as you get movement and the colours are amazing.

As I was creating these I realised that you could see creatures in the shapes such as birds, butterflies, and much more so I photocopied and enlarged many of them so I could play around with them to see what I could create.
We where told at the start of the project to make a zine, as Had many photocopies left over I decided to make a few zines to see the different ways I can get the images to collide with each other. Here are a few pages out of different zines I have made:

I started to look at artist who use feathers in there work to help me gain some influence for my work

After being inspired by Kate MccGwire and the creatures which I found in the prints I decided to make some creatures out of stuff that I had laying around but to keep with my collection of feathers, all the creatures would have feathers for one reason or another.
I will carry on making more creatures as I have found making them extremely fun and would like to be able to use them in my work as characters for something or whatever.
